Wine cooler repair in Woodside

Woodside runs from the flats near Cañada Road up to Skyline, and the higher you go the more the wine cooler is somewhere other than the kitchen — a barn, a shop, a guest house.

Wine coolers in Woodside

Units in outbuildings are the interesting part of working here. An appliance in an unconditioned barn or garage on Kings Mountain sees a genuinely wide ambient range, and most wine coolers are rated for a climate class that does not include a Woodside outbuilding in August or in February. A free-standing cabinet in that setting can be perfectly healthy and still fail to hold 55.

In the kitchens it is conventional work: columns, under-counter cabinets, dampers, sensors, door hardware. The practical difference is access. Long driveways, narrow lanes and gated properties — tell us what the access is when you call so we bring what the job needs.

02 Pattern

What we find here

Coolers in unconditioned outbuildings
The climate class on the rating plate decides whether the machine can do what is being asked of it.
Power quality on rural circuits
Control boards do not tolerate brownouts well. A unit that lost its display in an outage is often a supply-side fault, not a board.
Built-in columns in main kitchens
Conventional faults: zone fans, sensors, door heaters, venting.
Condensation in shaded, damp properties
Woodside stays cool and damp under the oaks. Glass doors fog from the outside as readily as the inside.

Woodside questions

Do you cover all of Woodside?

Yes — Woodside Heights, Kings Mountain, Skyline, Mountain Home Road and the rest of 94062. Woodside sits in San Mateo County and is part of our normal Bay Area coverage.

What should I have ready when I call?

The model number from the plate inside the door, what the panel is set to, what the panel reads, and what a thermometer on the middle shelf reads after a few hours. Those four things name the likely fault before we arrive.

What does a visit to Woodside cost?

$89 for the service call, which covers coming out and diagnosing the fault by measurement. It is waived when you book the repair with us.

Wine cooler trouble in Woodside?

Model, what the panel says, and what a thermometer on the shelf says. That is usually enough to know what we are walking into.

Both zones of the Allavino locked to the same temperature no matter what we set. He diagnosed a failed damper motor in the upper zone, replaced it, and then had me run the unit for a week before he was willing to call it done.

Priya S. — Burlingame · February 2026 · 5/5

Display went blank and the unit kept running. Rather than throwing a control board at it, he checked the ribbon connector first, found it corroded from a past condensation problem, and only replaced the parts that were actually bad.

Susan C. — Tiburon · November 2025 · 5/5

Mould forming on the door seal and a musty smell in the cabinet. He replaced the gasket, cleaned and cleared the evaporation tray, and explained that the drain being blocked was what caused the smell, not the wine.
