Liebherr splits its wine range into storage cabinets that hold one temperature and Vinidor units that run two or three genuinely independent zones, each with its own circuit and its own control. That distinction matters when someone reports that one zone is fine and the other is not: on a Vinidor that is a real single-zone fault, whereas on a damper-fed two-zone cabinet from another brand the same symptom points at the damper.

Liebherr electronics are precise and unforgiving. The NTC sensors are cheap, accurate, and the first thing to suspect when a cabinet holds a number that does not match a shelf probe. The control boards are expensive and rarely the actual fault, which is why we prove the sensor before anyone spends money on a board.

Because the zones are independent, a dead zone means a dead circuit — fan, sensor or valve for that zone. It is not a whole-machine failure and does not need a whole-machine repair.
Integrated units carry a cabinet panel on the door, and the extra weight changes how the gasket sits. Any panel added or removed after installation needs the hinge tension reset.
Frost building on the rear wall with a slow temperature rise is a defrost fault. Clearing the ice without fixing the heater or the cutout buys about three weeks.
Liebherr parts are genuine OEM through the North American channel. Sensors and fans are usually quick; some board and door assemblies come from Germany and take longer.

Vinidor zones each have their own refrigeration circuit and their own control, so they can be set far apart and one can be switched off. A damper-fed two-zone cabinet shares one evaporator and cannot.

Both zones of the Allavino locked to the same temperature no matter what we set. He diagnosed a failed damper motor in the upper zone, replaced it, and then had me run the unit for a week before he was willing to call it done.
Upper zone would not go below sixty-two no matter what. Solenoid valve stuck. He carried the part and had it done in one visit, which I did not expect for a Cavavin.
Water pooling in the bottom of the Liebherr and a fog on the inside of the glass every morning. The gasket had taken a set on the hinge side and was not touching at the top corner. New gasket, hinge adjusted, and the humidity problem went away. He showed me the dollar-bill test so I can check it myself.
