What this site collects

Nothing directly. There is no contact form on 55degrees.org, no newsletter sign-up, no account, no comments and no email address published anywhere on it. The site is a set of static pages. It does not ask you for information and has nowhere to put it if you offered.

Server logs

Our web host records standard access logs — IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser user-agent and the referring page. These are generated by the web server itself, are used for security and to understand which pages are being read, and are retained for a limited period by the host.

Analytics and advertising

We do not run advertising trackers, remarketing pixels or cross-site profiling on this site. Where search-engine webmaster tools are connected to the domain, they report aggregate, anonymised query and impression data to us. They do not identify individual visitors to us.

When you call

If you call (650) 484-4687 we take what is needed to do the work: your name, the service address, a contact number, and details of the appliance. That information is used to schedule and carry out the repair, to order parts against your model and serial, and to keep a record of what was done. We do not sell it and we do not pass it to anyone other than a parts supplier where a part has to be ordered for your specific unit.

The booking link

The online booking link opens a scheduling tool operated by a third party on a different domain. Anything you enter there is handled under that provider's own privacy terms, not this one. We receive the appointment details you submit.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Your browser may cache pages, fonts and images from it, which is ordinary browser behaviour and not tracking.

Your choices

If you would like the record of a past job removed, call and ask. We will remove what we are not required to keep for tax or warranty purposes.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
